# Alfa Kraft

> The strategic word game for Android and iOS. Play words on a 7-tile crossword

## What it is

Alfa Kraft is a mobile word game in the genre of Scrabble, Alfapet, and
Wordfeud, with a strategic layer on top:

- Every word played earns both points and coins.
- Coins fund powers in an in-match shop — buff, rubber, morf,
  and place new 2×/3× letter or word bonus squares.
- Play 5+ tiles in one turn to earn an Alfa Power Tile (wildcard with
  up to ×3 word multiplier).
- Two paces: Casual (7-day moves) and Blitz (120-second turns).
- Numeric rank that rises and falls with each match, separate per dictionary.

## Availability

Both platforms are in testing, targeting a public launch in summer 2026.

## Languages and dictionaries

- Swedish — built from two Språkbanken sources: the SAOL 14 faksimil
  (Svenska Akademiens ordlista) for the headwords and SALDO Morfologi
  for the inflected forms. Alfa Kraft is not affiliated with or
  licensed by Svenska Akademien.
- Swedish (strict) — the SAOL 14 faksimil (Svenska Akademiens
  ordlista) headwords only; the standard list's baseline without the
  SALDO Morfologi inflections.
- Danish — COR (Det Centrale Ordregister), public domain (CC0).
- English — ENABLE1 by Mel Cooper, public domain.
- Norwegian — NSF-ordlista (NSF25, 2025) by Norsk Scrabbleforbund
  (NSF), the Norwegian Scrabble Federation. Used with permission and
  credited to NSF.

All dictionaries are searchable from alfakraft.gg. Each dictionary
page links to its upstream source: the Swedish lists to Språkbanken,
Danish to ordregister.dk, English to a public ENABLE1 mirror, and
Norwegian to Norsk Scrabbleforbund.

## Monetisation

Free to play with ads. Premium subscription removes ads. Coins and
powers are always earned in match — they cannot be bought with real
money. No pay-to-win mechanics exist.

## Age rating

Rated 16+ on the Google Play Store (PEGI 16 equivalent); a comparable
age rating applies on the Apple App Store.
